Dr. Trevor Bopp
Trevor Bopp, PhD is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Human Nutrition and Hospitality Management at the University of Alabama (UA). His research focuses on the influence of race and racial identity on access, opportunities, and experiences in sport. His work also involves athlete and sport-based development, ranging from youth sport participants to intercollegiate student-athletes.
Dr. Bopp has authored peer-reviewed manuscripts in high impact scientific journals such as the Journal of Sport Management and Sport Management Review. In 2021, he was named a North American Society for Sport Management Research Fellow. Prior to joining UA, Dr. Bopp was a faculty member in the Department of Sport Management at the University of Florida (UF). He is a double Gator, having earned both his Master of Science degree in Sport Management and PhD in Health and Human Performance with a concentration in Sport Management from UF. He earned a second Master of Science degree in Business Technology from Marymount University and his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Mary Washington. |
